Itinerary

DAY 01: PARO - THIMPHU (1.2 HRS)

Arrive at the airport in the beautiful city of Paro, after meet and greet proceed towards Thimphu. Sit back and enjoy the scenic beauty that you will witness on the way to Thimphu. On reaching Thimphu after freshen proceed for your sightseeing. Overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.

DAY 02: THIMPU SIGHTSEEING

Thimphu – the capital city of Bhutan. Visit King’s Memorial Chorten (Monument), Chang Gangkha – one of the oldest monastery in the valley, National Library that has collection of holy scripts and BBS Tower view point, Buddha Point where you can get a good overview of the Thimphu valley. Later visit Folk Heritage Museum, Traditional Paper Factory, Institute for Zorig Chusum (Handi crafts School) also known as the painting school, Motithang Zoo – where you can see the national animal of Bhutan – Takin”.

DAY 03: THIMPHU - PUNAKHA (2.5 HRS)

After breakfast, proceed towards Punakha city. It is of the most beautiful valleys in Bhutan. Enjoy sightseeing in the city and visit Dochula view point stop, Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple) and Punakha Dzong. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 04:4PUNAKHA – PHOBJIKHA VALLEY – PUNAKHA

Aftre breakfast visit Phobjikha valleys located at an altitude of 3000m. The valley of Gangtey is one of the most beautiful spots in Bhutan. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 05: PUNAKHA - PARO (4 HRS)

After breakfast, proceed towards Paro. After reaching there begin with the sightseeing. The sightseeing will include a visit to National Museum of Paro and Kyichu Lhakhang. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 06: PARO SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast enjoy the city tour of Paro which includes Drukgyel Dzong, the ruined fortress from where the peak of Mount Chomolhari can be clearly seen. Later visit Ta-Dzong, Taktshang Monastery view point (Tiger’s Nest). One can view of beautiful pine forest many of them are festooned with Spanish moss, Later visit Paro Dzong. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 07: PARO – CHELE-LA-PASS – PARO

After breakfast visit Chele-la-pass (3800m) – One of the highest motor able passes in the country. It is also a sacred place to festoon the pass with prayer flags. The Chele la ridge offers gardens of Himalayan flowers, plants and of special pheasant species. Proceed to Paro. Arrive in Paro.

DAY 08: DEPARTURE

After breakfast this morning, you will proceed to Paro Airport to board your flight back home. End of tour services!

Important Instructions

Entry Permit for Bhutan:-

Indian nationals do not require visa to travel in Bhutan. However they require an entry permit which will have to be processed on arrival. They can also avail advance permits online through a registered tour operator in Bhutan.

Advance Online Permits:-

If you are traveling with an Indian Passport (with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of departure from Bhutan), you can avail advance online permits whereby the holidays, or the long queue (for those traveling via land) does not become a hindrance. An e-Permit Clearance shall be sent to you, you will have to print and carry the letter on your travel to Bhutan. The actual permit will be stamped on your Passport on arrival in production of the e-Permit Clearance.

A clear scanned copy of passport (in color) in JPEG or PDF format and the flight details is required to process the online permits. Please note that the permit gets rejected if the Scanned copies of the passports do not meet the standards. Online permits require the use of TCB certified hotels, Bhutanese vehicle and certified Bhutanese guide.

Proper travel documents shall be required at least 10 workings days prior to the date of travel. We shall not be responsible for any rejections or similar issues in regards to the permits due to improper documents or delay in arrival of documents.

Bhutan Travel Permits on arrival

Entry permit will be issued at the entry point on production of Indian passport (with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of departure from Bhutan) or Indian Voter ID. In case of Children, original Birth certificate in English and student ID is required. The traveler is also required to carry photocopy of the travel documents and 04 passport size photographs.

If you are entering Bhutan via land, it is to be noted that the permits are issued only during working days and hours. (Monday to Friday between 9 am to 4 pm during winter and 5 pm during summer). It is suggested that the travelers arriving in Phuentsholing on Friday should arrive latest by 10 AM in order to complete the entry formalities on the same day. No permits are issued on Saturday, Sunday and Bhutan government holidays. During the peak season (depending upon the rush), immigration may take long time to issue the permit. We shall not be responsible for any delay during processing of permit by the immigration authority. Please keep your clients informed that they may have to stand on long queue during high season to obtain the permit if traveling via Phuentsholing.

The entry permit is valid for travel in Phuentsholing, Thimphu and Paro only. Special permit is required to travel in Haa, Punakha/Wangdue and beyond.

The special permit will have to be processed in Department of Immigrations, Thimphu; in production of the entry permit or the Passport (photocopies are required). This special permit is given only after guest has entered Bhutan. Permits are not issued on Saturday, Sunday & Bhutan Govt. holidays.
