    Itinerary

    On arrival at Paro Airport our representative will meet you and then take transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. In the evening explore the Thimpu town by walk. Overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.

    After breakfast visit Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue) a place for refreshing with a huge statue of Buddha, National Memorial Chorten (Monument) & Folk Heritage Museum. In the afternoon visit Sangaygang View Point, Changangkha Monastery, Taking Preserve Centre, the national animal of Bhutan can be seen here, Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion). Overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.

    After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Punakha / Wangdue, On the way Stop at Dochu-La-Pass for sightseeing. In the afternoon visit Punakha Dzong – built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. The Dzong was named Druk Pungthang Dechen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness). Punakha is still the winter residence of Je-Khenpo and King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. After that take a short excursion trip to visit the Chhimi Lhakhang – The Temple, also known as “The Temple of Fertility” was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley. Overnight stay at the hotel in Punakha / Wangdue.


    After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Trongsa across Pele-La-Pass, a traditional boundary between east & west Bhutan, there is an adrupt change in vegetation, with mountain forest replaced by high altitude dwarf bamboo. On the way visit to Chendbji Chorten – built in the style of the great Bodhanath Choten of Nepal. Further ahead visit Trongsa Dzong – It was the seat of power over central & eastern Bhutan and Ta Dzong – An ancient watch tower. The chapel inside is said to be dedicated to the Trongsa Penlop Jigme Namgyal. Then drive further to Bumthang over the Yutong-La-Pass. While in Chumey valley in Bumthang, visit the Yathra Weaving Factory – It is the most famous textile product of Bumthang. Overnight stay at the hotel Bumthang.

    After breakfast, visit Jakar Dzong: literally meaning the Castle of White Bird. The current structure was built in 1667. Lamey Goemba: A large palace and monastery built in 18th century by Dasho Phuntsho Wangdi Jambay Lhakhang: built by King Srongsen Gampo of Tibet. In October one of the most spectacular festival, “Jambay Lhakhang Drup” is staged here. Chakhar Lhakhang: literally meaning the Iron Castle, the original palace was made of Iron and hence the name “Chakhar”. Kurjey Lhakhang: Named after body print of Guru Rimpoche. Afternoon 2nd half Visit Tamshing Lhakhang: Literally meaning the Temple of the good message, established in 1501 by Pema Lingpa. Membarstho: Literally meaning, “The burning Lake”. The evening ends visit a local handloom weaving house and Interact with the weavers. Overnight stay at Bumthang.

    After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Punakha. You will reach Punakha by late afternoon. Overnight stay at the hotel in Punakha/Wangdue.

    After breakfast drive to Paro. On the way stop for sightseeing at Lamperi to visit Royal Botanical Park – The park contains a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna and features a huge species of plants. In the afternoon visit Ta Dzong – National Museum with an excellent collection of arts, relics, etc. Rinpung Dzong – means “fortress of the heap of jewels”. The dzong now serves as the administrative and judicial seat of Paro. Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.

    After breakfast visit Drukgyel Dzong. Also visit famous Taktsang Monastery – called “Tiger’s Nest”. Overnight stay will be at Paro.

    After breakfast excursion trip to Chele-La-Pass (13,088 ft.) – the highest motorable road in Bhutan. Enjoy the scenic beauty & memorable landscapes from Chele-La-Pass. Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.



    After breakfast check out from the hotel and you will be dropped at Paro Airport to carry on your further journey.


    Important Instructions

    Entry Permit for Bhutan:-

    Indian nationals do not require visa to travel in Bhutan. However they require an entry permit which will have to be processed on arrival. They can also avail advance permits online through a registered tour operator in Bhutan.

    Advance Online Permits:-

    If you are traveling with an Indian Passport (with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of departure from Bhutan), you can avail advance online permits whereby the holidays, or the long queue (for those traveling via land) does not become a hindrance. An e-Permit Clearance shall be sent to you, you will have to print and carry the letter on your travel to Bhutan. The actual permit will be stamped on your Passport on arrival in production of the e-Permit Clearance.

    A clear scanned copy of passport (in color) in JPEG or PDF format and the flight details is required to process the online permits. Please note that the permit gets rejected if the Scanned copies of the passports do not meet the standards. Online permits require the use of TCB certified hotels, Bhutanese vehicle and certified Bhutanese guide.

    Proper travel documents shall be required at least 10 workings days prior to the date of travel. We shall not be responsible for any rejections or similar issues in regards to the permits due to improper documents or delay in arrival of documents.

    Bhutan Travel Permits on arrival

    Entry permit will be issued at the entry point on production of Indian passport (with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of departure from Bhutan) or Indian Voter ID. In case of Children, original Birth certificate in English and student ID is required. The traveler is also required to carry photocopy of the travel documents and 04 passport size photographs.

    If you are entering Bhutan via land, it is to be noted that the permits are issued only during working days and hours. (Monday to Friday between 9 am to 4 pm during winter and 5 pm during summer). It is suggested that the travelers arriving in Phuentsholing on Friday should arrive latest by 10 AM in order to complete the entry formalities on the same day. No permits are issued on Saturday, Sunday and Bhutan government holidays. During the peak season (depending upon the rush), immigration may take long time to issue the permit. We shall not be responsible for any delay during processing of permit by the immigration authority. Please keep your clients informed that they may have to stand on long queue during high season to obtain the permit if traveling via Phuentsholing.

    The entry permit is valid for travel in Phuentsholing, Thimphu and Paro only. Special permit is required to travel in Haa, Punakha/Wangdue and beyond.

    The special permit will have to be processed in Department of Immigrations, Thimphu; in production of the entry permit or the Passport (photocopies are required). This special permit is given only after guest has entered Bhutan. Permits are not issued on Saturday, Sunday & Bhutan Govt. holidays.
